Tualatin High's Caleb Lakeman Has A Spot In Men's 1,500m At Prefontaine Classic

Oregon Class 6A champion in the 1,500 meters and 3,000 meters, Tualatin senior Caleb Lakeman, breaks the news of his entry to the Prefontaine Classic to DyeStat editor Doug Binder. Lakeman will compete in the men's 1,500 meters on Saturday at 12:29 p.m., the first race on the track at Eugene's Diamond League meet at Hayward Field. Lakeman's father, Dirk, was one of the first high school athletes ever allowed to compete at the Pre Classic when he ran in the mile at the 1977 meet.

Caleb has "Ice in his veins" having won big races recently on the Hayward oval. His confidence is sky High after wining the 1500-3000m double at State. If he sticks to his "Plan", he will have a great race !!
